I Corinthians
Epistola I ad Corinthios · 16 chapters · 270 glosses
THE ARGUMENT
The Corinthians are Achaeans, and these likewise heard the word of truth from the Apostle, and were subverted in many ways by false apostles. Some were led on by the wordy eloquence of philosophy, others by the sect of the Jewish law. These the Apostle calls back to the true faith and to evangelical wisdom, writing to them from Ephesus, by Timothy his disciple.
