THE ARGUMENT
The Colossians, like the Laodiceans also, are Asians, and they too had been forestalled by false apostles, nor did the Apostle himself come to them, but he corrects them by an epistle. For they had heard the word from Archippus, who also received a ministry among them. Therefore the Apostle, now bound, writes to them from Ephesus by Tichicus the deacon and Onesimus the acolyte.
